Things seem to be conspiring against me. We’ve got some really foodie neighbours coming round for dinner this weekend. Last time we went there we had an absolute feast and enjoyed discovering how into food we both are. So now it’s my turn and I’d like to offer a feast of similar proportions in return.
Problem is this: I am surrounded by recipe books and lacking inspiration. More recipe books may be what’s needed, but frankly it’s weeks ’til my birthday so I’m looking for inspiration – comments please!
Thoughts so far are:
Start with something for everyone (4 grown ups) to share
Punchy meaty main course – preferably with some really good fat / crispy skin on it
Something individual and lemony to finish. Oh, and some cheese. And wine. And an apple from the tree outside the fire station..
